We're a team of SEO nerds who needed a tool that actually worked.
AltPixel didn't start as a startup pitch. It started as a Slack rant. We run SEO for a bunch of client sites, and every single audit ended the same way: bloated PNGs killing LCP, and hundreds of images with empty alt="" tags.
The tools out there either wanted to upload our clients' images to some random server, drowned us in ads, or generated alt text that read like a bad stock-photo caption. So we built the one we actually wanted to use — and figured other SEOs, marketers, and devs in the same trench would want it too.
What we care about
- Alt text that follows the rules. Under 125 chars, descriptive, no keyword stuffing, screen-reader friendly. The same rules we'd apply on a client audit.
- Speed wins. WebP and AVIF by default because LCP is a ranking factor, not a nice-to-have.
- Your files stay yours. Conversion runs in the browser. We'd never upload a client's unreleased hero image to some random API, so we didn't build it that way either.
- No dark patterns. The free tier is genuinely free. No credit card wall, no fake urgency, no "trial" that quietly bills you.
Who's behind it
AltPixel is made by Branding House FZ-LLC, a small SEO and product studio based in Dubai. We've spent years knee-deep in Screaming Frog exports, Core Web Vitals reports, and CMS bulk-edit screens. AltPixel is what we wished we had on every one of those projects.
